Guided by the concept of 'Misfit', Sireal juxtaposes design elements from diverse contexts to reveal hidden theatrical effects within daily scenarios, and articulates the 'misfits' with three-dimensional language of space & objects. Through a blend of analogue and digital prototyping, Sireal draws inspiration from the tactile process of physical creation while leveraging parametric tools to enhance craftsmanship.
Sireal was started by Sirui Chen as a personal design research collection in the summer of 2018, featuring projects that transverse conceptual architecture proposals, products, and collectible sculptures. Currently, she is seeking to evolve this passion project into a grounded practice, and welcomes opportunities for collaborations and growth.
